In een tijd waarin onze binnensteden steeds meer bestaan uit een- en tweepersoonshuishoudens, wordt de openbare ruimte belangrijker dan ooit als ontmoetingsplek. UrbanComfort speelt hierop in met een meubellijn die de sfeer van thuis naar buiten brengt. De meubels, vervaardigd uit 3D-geprint beton, combineren comfort met duurzaamheid. Ze worden pas geproduceerd na bestelling, waarbij alleen het strikt noodzakelijke materiaal wordt gebruikt. Dankzij het monochrome materiaal kunnen de meubels efficiënt worden hergebruikt. Een bijkomend voordeel is dat de meubels eenvoudig, zonder fundering kunnen worden geplaatst. Toch zijn ze zwaar genoeg om diefstal te voorkomen. Met UrbanComfort creëren we duurzame, comfortabele en toegankelijke ontmoetingsplekken in onze steden.
As our inner cities get more and more one- or two-person households, the public space becomes an even more important place to meet. UrbanComfort offers a line of furniture that will help this further domestication of our public spaces. Just like at home, the furniture looks and feels very comfortable. Pieces are produced in 3D-printed concrete and such only after order. The most efficient, read minimum, amount of material is used. The monochromatic material used, can be efficiently reused. The furniture can be erected without a foundation. Yet they are so heavy that they cannot be taken home. With UrbanComfort we create sustainable, comfortable and accessible meeting places in our cities.
